I didn't have class today since I switched out of French Intermediate II. I met Chris, Zoe, and Patrick at Sainte Chapelle at noon, and they walked around the church while I ate lunch in the area. They had to go look at the stained glass for one of their classes, and I tagged along because we were going to do more classwork after that. The outside of the church was gorgeous- I'll definitely have to make a trip back there on a sunny day to see the stained glass in all its glory. Satine Chapelle took a little longer than expected, so we just walked around the area for half an hour since we didn't have enough time to go see some galleries at the Marais (our homework for next Monday).

Chris, Patrick, and I then went to the edge of town (once again, not the prettiest area) to watch U of M's rugby team play against the Sorbonne. They lost pretty badly, but it was cool to see my friend Scott and his teammates playing in Paris. We froze our butts off because we dressed for the forecasted 60 degree weather but were instead sitting in windy 40 degree weather. Mother Nature let us down. Instead of the métro, I took the "tramway" home, which is Paris's newest transportation installment. It's a cable car that runs along the southern border of Paris, and you can use it as long as you have a Navigo card. Since it's fairly new and off the beaten path, it was clean, nice, and tourist-free
Inès left this morning to meet the rest of the family à la campagne, so it was just me and Monsieur for dinner again. I have no clue what we ate. All I know is that it was yellow, shaped in a circle, and had onions in it. It wasn't too bad. Monsieur is leaving for the la campagne after work tomorrow, so I'll be all alone again this weekend.
After dinner I met up with Kristin, Grace, Brandon, Peyton, and our Argentinian friend from last weekend. We walked around for a bit, but I had to head home pretty early since I have class tomorrow morning, unlike the others. Tomorrow will be a busy, yet fun day :)
Affectueusement,
Katie
Keep up the blogging--I live it! Sainte Chapelle is a fantastic place. I remember being there once on a cloudy day, then, all of a sudden, the sun started shining and the whole place lit up--it was spectacular!!!!! One of my favorite churches!
